Haringey celebrated the achievements of care‑experienced young people at the Full Potential event at Jacksons Lane, attended by Cllr Ruth Gordon, Cllr Zena Brabazon, and Baroness Lola Young of Hornsey OBE.
Full Potential – delivered by Haringey Works in partnership with the Drive Forward Foundation – helps young residents to develop the confidence, skills and experience they need to access good quality employment.
Year 1 focused on Care Leavers, supported by strong collaboration across Children’s Services:
✔️ 61 young people registered
✔️ Strong support from Personal Advisors, Social Workers & the Virtual School
✔️ 15 work placements secured (11 within the council)
✔️ 18 young people moved into paid jobs at London Living Wage or above
Our recent Outstanding Ofsted rating for Children’s Services shows the progress we’ve made in helping young people thrive. Programmes like Full Potential are turning that commitment into real opportunities and brighter futures.
