The Archbishop’s statements for a two-state solution in Cyprus, in addition to their unacceptable content, have revealed yet another actual fact. No election campaign team and no presidential candidate – apart from the election team of Stavros Malas and himself – have clarified their position with regards the Archbishop’s unacceptable statements, nor have they clarified their own position as to the basis of the solution of the Cyprus problem, namely Bizonal, Bi-communal Federation.
Nobody candidate – except Stavros Malas – has clarified his position about what he will do the day after the elections with regards the resumption of the negotiations and the achievement of a solution of the Cyprus problem.
Citizens want to know when they will go to cast their vote, which policy and what positions will the candidate of their choice pursue. Stavros Mala’s contenders do not speak in a clear way. By mincing their words, they are trying to consume time, deceive citizens and steal their vote in the run-up to the elections.
