Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) and golf resorts in Cyprus have participated in the 18th International Golf Travel Market held in Tenerife, Spain.
According to a CTO press release, the organisation was represented by Maro Kouzepi who held business meetings with over 40 golf tour operations and golf journalists from 21 countries, during which she had the chance to underline Cyprus` competitive advantages to attract golf tourism.
The press release noted the vivid interest of golf tour operators to promote Cyprus and to include the country into their golf tourist packages.
Main markets for Cyprus include the UK, northern countries, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands.
As it is noted, CTO takes action with a view to attract golf tourism from international markets, in cooperation with specialized golf tour operators, hosting journalists and golf tourist operators, participating in specialized fairs and important European golf tournaments as well as supporting international golf tournaments organized in Cyprus.
