Cypriot silver Paralympics medalist Antonis Aresti has qualified for the Rio Paralympic Games in the 200 meter category T47 and the 400 meter category.
On Saturday, Aresti came first competing in the 200 meter category T47 qualifier.
According a press release, Aresti took part on Friday in the 400 meter final in the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar and came 7th, recording a time of 50.55.
His recent efforts and sacrifices have helped him achieve his foremost goal, to take part for the third consecutive time in the Paralympic Games after Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012, the press release says.
