The Cypriot Football Coaches Association issued a congratulatory announcement to the Cypriot coach, Elias Charalambous, on the qualification of FCSB Steaua Bucharest to the last “16” of the UEFA Europa League on Saturday, wishing him every success in the upcoming matches against the French side Lyon.
“Elias Charalambous’ is having a highly successful career abroad shows that the Cypriot coach has skills and value and can bring significant results if he is given the time and guarantees to work”, it is reported.
He was age Romanian Ligue 1 Manager of the year 2023/24 achieving the League and Cup double.
Elias was born in South Africa of Cypriot parents.
He is a Cyprus international defender and played notably for Omonia, PAOK and AEK Larnaca
He was a assistant and caretaker manager at AEK Larnaca and and managed Ethnikos Achna
Doxa Katokopias and now FCSB Steaua Bucharest.
