The Cypriot Golf Society held the Masters Cup on the 13th September 2018 at Collingtree Golf Club. The Sponsor of the day was George Vuvvs Georgiou.
35 members and 2 guests made the journey to Northampton on a dry and sunny Autumn day. Collingtree Golf Club is an old favourite of the society, having hosted numerous PGA events over the years. It has a fantastic and challenging layout.
The winner of the day was George Vuvvs Georgiou, with 36 points beating Corrado Solimini on a countback. George has been in great form all season, and has been in second or third place several times this season, but it was fitting for him to finally win as the Sponsor.
The Captain, Aggi Neophytou had the unusual task of thanking George for his generous sponsorship for the day, and then congratulating him on his victory. Once again, the Captain managed to raise significant donations for his chosen charity, The Alzheimer’s Society.
