A Cyprus Airways Airbus A320-200, registration 5B-DCH performing flight CY-343 from Beirut (Lebanon) to Larnaca (Cyprus), landed on Larnaca’s runway 04 yesterdaybut suffered a flat tyre during roll out. The aircraft vacated the runway and stopped on taxiway C, parallel to the runway, where emergency services attended the aircraft.
Passengers reported that the touchdown appeared quite normal, no hard landing or anything unusual, shortly after touchdown a bang was heard however. The aircraft slowed, vacated the runway and stopped on the taxiway next to the runway, the passengers disembarked onto the taxiway and were bussed to the terminal
