The strong relationship between Cyprus and Israel was reconfirmed on Thursday evening during a telephone conversation between Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou has said.
Prodromou wrote on Twitter that after President Anastasiades had sent a letter of congratulations to Netanyahu yesterday for his party`s victory in the parliamentary elections which took place on Tuesday, he responded with a telephone call, during which “the strong relationship between Cyprus and Israel was confirmed and the common will for a strategic cooperation for peace, security and stability in the region, as well as in the energy sector, was also expressed.”
