Cyprus Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos held a number of important meetings in New York, he said in a post on the X platform. Namely, Kombos met with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the International Peace Institute, Prince Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, for a working dinner on the Middle East.
”International Law and United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) must be fully respected,” he added.
The Republic of Cyprus is participating in the High-Level Week of the UN General Assembly, with a series of scheduled meetings aimed at highlighting issues that concern and impact our foreign policy, he said in another post on X.
Kombos is currently in New York for meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
