In yesterdays Saturday’s games in Cyprus Champions APOEL came back to halt a defeat versus Larnaca team AEK New APOEL forward Fernando Cavenaghi once again showed what the double holders were missing this summer as he made a late substitute appearance to save APOEL with a late equaliser.

APOEL fans could sense the introduction of Cavenaghi and it wasn’t long before Ketsbaia brought on the highly rated Argentinean.
It gets worse for Omonia after yesterday Saturday Doxa’s Leandro struck home a 95th minute equaliser to deny Omonia a win.
Omonia went into the game after previously losing 1-0 at Ethnikos in their last game and the Nicosia club looked on course to pick up the three points after Malta international Andre Schembri was found by Nuno Assis’ pass and he scored on 36 minutes.
