AEK are on top of the table on Sunday night after beating AEL 1-0 through a Joan Tomas goal.

The result of Anorthosis shock 2-2 draw with Ayia Napa in Larnaca, means that AEK move to the top of the table although they could be joined by APOEL on Monday night if theybeat Enosis Neon Paralimni.

Anorthosis missed out on the chance to move position in the table on Sunday after being held to a shock 2-2 draw at home to bottom club Ayia Napa.

Anorthosis appeared to be comfortable after goals from Pele and top scorer Dino Ndlovu – who scored from the penalty spot giving them a 2-0 lead. The 2-2 draw meant Ayia Napa grabbed their first point of the season , while Anorthosis are still undefeated.

Ayia Napa reduced the score to 2-1 when Ibson scored and two minutes before the end the equaliser came from an Antoniou header.
