Support measures to farmers and the guidance of the agricultural sector of Europe to the right direction, is the main issue on the agenda of Agriculture Council, Cyprus Agriculture Minister Nicos Kouyialis has said.
Speaking to the press in Brussels, upon his arrival, the Minister said that the Council will examine the situation of the agricultural sector in Europe and mainly the reasons that caused the falling of prices.
According to the Minister, “all these problems we face unveil the need of establishing a supporting mechanism for the income of our farmers during crisis, something that Cyprus has repeatedly requested for the past two years”.
