Energy Minister Yiorgos Lakkotrypis is traveling to London on Tuesday evening where he will hold meetings with high-ranking officials from gas companies in order to promote a third licensing round for the offshore exploration of EEZ blocks 6, 8 and 10 in Cyprus` exclusive economic zone.
The deadline to apply for hydrocarbon exploration licenses is on July 22, 2016.
An official press release says that the meetings will take place on Wednesday morning and in the afternoon the Minister will travel to Houston, Texas for a series of meetings to take place on Thursday and Friday.
On Thursday Lakkotrypis is set to attend an event during which he will present the recent energy developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and Cyprus` strategy for the further exploitation of its natural gas reserves.
The Energy Minister will be traveling back home on Saturday.
