At the approval of Ankara and Nicosia, the European Union (EU) is working on a plan to return the closed regions of Famagusta to the Cypriot Greeks, RIA Novosti reported, citing information of Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulidis.
In minister’s words, the Famagusta issue could be solved in parallel with the start of the negotiations in October, while the process should proceed under the auspices of the UN.
