A man is being questioned by Nicosia police on suspicion of killing his sister at their home early on Saturday morning. The man, aged 25, is said to have killed his 28 year old sibling by hitting her repeatedly on the head with a laptop computer.
He is said to have telephone police a few hours later, telling them what happened. The mother was at the house at the time of the alleged killing but was unable act because she is tetraplegic.
State pathologist Eleni Antoniou visited the scene. Nicosia police chief Kypros Michaelides said both brother and sister had heath problems and were being monitored by the welfare services.
