Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are appealing for information following a fatal collision.
Officers were called at 12:20hrs on Monday, 18 September, to City Road at the junction with Westland Place, N1.
A lorry was reported to have been in collision with a pedestrian.
The 41-year-old female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
The 44-year-old lorry driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by careless driving while under the influence of drugs and drug driving.
He was taken to a north London police station and released under investigation.
