Hair-larious day at St John’s Upper Holloway primary school raises money for GOSH

There was a severe outbreak of ‘bad hair’ at St John’s Upper Holloway primary school in north London on Friday 12th February 2016, where teachers and students took part in a special fundraiser.

Organised by Susan Evans, a teaching assistant at the school, students were asked to turn up in wacky wigs and funky hairdos for Bad Hair Day and donate £1 to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals providing inspirational and world-class care to hundreds of children every day.

The event was a great success with donations hitting the £135 mark.

Ms Evans, who has a personal interest in the work of the hospital, said: “It was a fun day for staff and students and all for a good cause. The funds will help make a difference to the lives of thousands of very ill children who need our help every year.”
