Koma Tou Yialou Association UK held its annual Pensioner’s Lunch, which took place on Sunday 23rd June 2024 in the Cypriot Community Centre.
The event was a great success with villagers attending from across the UK.
Komiates were able to socialise and share the stories they remember from the good times back in Koma Tou Yialou.
A 96 year old ‘Komiatissa’ Christina Kayiatou, also sang a traditional Cypriot “chattisto” which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
Koma Tou Yialou Association UK continues to go strong and even after 50 years of illegal occupation of their village, all members continue to hope that one day Koma Tou Yialou will be free and they can all return together to their beloved village once again.
