The Komi Kebir FC BBQ and Presentation was a great success despite the rain with around 150 people in attendance at The Radio Marathon Centre in Enfield.
It was a real team effort on the day with The Komi committee, current and ex players and their families coming together for football, souvlakia, drinks and music to celebrate Komi FC’s 26th year in the KOPA LEAGUE,
Four current and four VETS teams battled it out in an eight team tournament before the Vets team captained by Antoni Antoniades met the current team captained by Andy Kyprianides in the final with the ‘youngsters’ triumphant by 2 goals to 1.
The event was sponsored by JonChristopher Chartered Surveyors.
KOPA League Chairman Lakis Chrysostomou spoke about the importance of a club like Komi Kebir to the league and congratulated everyone for their efforts in putting the event together.
The Barbeque was brilliantly manned by ex players and managers,Vava Tsioupras, Thisos Stavrinou Louie Pavlouri and Omiros Nicholas.
Trophy winners on the day were Chris Andrea for top goal scorer, Andy Kyprianides for Players Player of the Year and Sami Menari for Managers Player of the year.
