AFA Cup winners AEK Youth FC played KOPA League Division two Cup finalists Komi Kebir FC in a friendly which had lots of connections between both clubs.
Mario Michael captained Komi 20yrs ago & is now an AEK coach & Dino Chrysostomou also played at Komi & coaches at AEK (& played in goal for Komi on Sunday!).
Past AEK Youth FC players Christopher Michael (Mario’s son) put on the jersey again and played with his brother Constantino Michael and Luke Prokopiou (Livadia) also guested for AEK FC having captained them to the treble in his playing days there.
The match was played in a great atmosphere and was a great test for both teams, physically for AEK & fitness for Komi. Some great football was played & cracking goals scored. Long may the connections of these clubs continue & potentially become a pathway for AEK players when hey depart from Youth football.
