Maronites 3 Cetinkaya Cinar 5
This game was billed as match of the day and it certainly turned out to be an entertaining one, thrilling the large turnout.
Cinar dictated the first ten minutes and were unable to put their chances away with Maronites keeper Tolga in top form.
Cinar pressure paid off when Kerim Raies free kick found Tarik Kucuk who glanced his shot past Tolga for 0-1.
Ten minutes later Maronites struck when Tom Boxer received a pass in the box, unmarked, he made no mistake with his finish, 1-1. On 36 minutes a Cinar corner by Tarik Kucuk was met with a bullet of a header by Ade Kelani for 1-2.
Tom Boxer made it 2-2 when he curled a free kick past Remzi from 20 yards. 6 minutes later Cinar regained the lead, once again from a Tarik Kucuk corner this time headed in by Tuncay Cager. A few minutes later sub Junior Adeoye hit a beauty into the top left of the goal to make it 2-4. With 20 minutes remaining a long ball over the Cinar defence was met by Maronites attacker Dino Costa who thumped the ball past Remzi for 3-4. The goals continued with the game nearing the end, another Cinar sub Mazlum Karakas got on the end of a good move to make it 3-5.
The win puts Cetinkaya Cinar 7 points clear of KLN.
Komi Kebir 1 KLN 2
KLN started brightly and had a goal disallowed on 15 minutes after Panny Erotokritos thought he had scored. Komi then came into life and after a mix up in the KLN defence they went ahead after 20 minutes with a goal from Andy Stylianou.
The Half time talk from their manager seemed to have woken up KLN as they came out again all guns blazing, and after 70 minutes Jake king burst through from midfield to round the goalkeeper and equalise for KLN. 5 minutes later Chris Papacosta was put through by the excellent KLN captain Ryan Whelan who beat the Komi goalkeeper from inside the penalty box. Despite some late Komi Kebir pressure KLN held out and won 2-1 and lift themselves into second place.

League Table
Livadia 0 Omonia 4
Omonia are really on a high and are going great guns in the new year with two consecutive wins over New Salamis and Livadia.
On Sunday they were unstoppable with Adem Ali scoring two goals against his old club with Luke Croll and Ricardo adding two more goals making it four.
All goals were spectacular the first of Adem Ali’s he ran across the 18 yard line past three players before smashing it into the back of the net. The second Luke Croll blasted the ball into the top corner from 25 yards. Adem’s second was a shot from a difficult angle outside the box. The final goal was a long distance shot from Omonia centre forward Ricardo.
Omonia are now on top three points clear above second placed New Salamis who have two games in hand.
Anorthosis 3 Brotherhood 2
Anorthosis are keeping the pace up on Omonia and New Salamis with a crucial win over Brotherhood. Anorthosis were one nil down after Brotherhood scored with Aaron Kennedy within five minutes then Anorthosis equalised 7 minutes later with a penalty from their striker Fotis, then their centre half Andy Kane added a second with a glancing header from a corner. Then just before the break super striker Danny Coolridge scored with a 40 yard free kick to make it 3-1.
There was still more excitement to come in the second half when Brotherhood made it 3-2 with a goal from Chris but there was still end to end action, Anorthosis Danny Coolridge lobbed the keeper but the ball went wide and with minutes to go Chris Philippou pulled off a breathtaking save from Brotherhood’s Aaron Kennedy to keep the score at 3-2.
Tripimeni 8 Arachne 1
Tripimeni are beginning to find their way again and are slowly sneaking up the table after this comfortable win over Arachne and I believe they are going to have a big say on who wins the Championship because on their day they can beat anybody and I would not be surprised if they now go to be unbeaten for the rest of the season. Tripimeni’s goals came from Ahmet Rifat, Sarfraz Pivano, Everan Altinnok and Jason Edwards.
