KOPA-KOA U16 and U18’s to play Good Friday its also great to see one of our Enfield born Cypriot boys play for the Cyprus National U19 side last week.
The Under 16 and under 18’s KOPA and KOA representative teams play this Friday which is good Friday April the 6th against the Eastern Junior Alliance League Under 16 and under 18 representative teams. Both games will be played at Haringey Borough Stadium, Coles Park Stadium, White Hart Lane, Tottenham, London N17 7JP. U16’s will kick off at 1pm and the U18’s at 4pm.
In the interval between both games two Arsenal reserve players Dutch Ozzie Ozyakup and Kyle Ebecelio will both attempt the cross bar challenge which is trying to hit the cross bar with a match ball from the half way line. A Dutch TV crew will be filming the event.
These are important games for the community as these players are our future so it be encouraging for these youngsters if we show support so the bigger the crowd the merrier. To note these games are a show to what we have achieved at a Youth level.
It is also encouraging that again another one of our community players Enfield born Michael Thalassitis made his first appearance for the Under 19 Cyprus National team last week versus Georgia which ended 0-0 and this is an example of the most important reason that the Cypriot Football League in the UK and the Cypriot Sports Organisation started this initiative is to source players for our National sides in Cyprus at all ages.
Any Under 16 and Under 18 Cypriot origin players that play regular club football and are interested to play for these teams please contact Michael Yiakoumi on 07958 207412 or Kokos Georgiou Tel: 07956 932005.
