Three Kurdish asylum seekers set themselves alight outside the Interior Ministry in Nicosia Friday morning in protest against the government’s failure to give them political asylum.
They poured flammable liquid onto their clothes and set light to it but the flames were immediately extinguished by firemen who had been called to the scene earlier.
They were arrested. A parked car was damaged by the flames.
