The Larnaca District Development Agency has laid out an ambitious project to construct a 75 kilometre pavement and bicycle path that would stretch across the coast of the district.
According to plans of the agency – that were reported in Phileleftheros on Thursday, the new path is set to start close to Pyla village and stretch all the way to the Zygi coast after first passing through Phinikoudes beach. The project is already at a preliminary stage while early construction work has begun in Pervolia.
The Pervolia community says that their end of the bargain will be completed by next summer with their pavement/ bicycle path set to begin from Faros beach and stretch some 1,100metres to the end of Meneou.
Meanwhile, work in Oroklini is also expected to start with the construction plans set to begin at Lenios Hotel (where the current path will be expanded) while an additional path will also be constructed that will lead to the outer limits of Pyla.
