Limassol fake accident duo made €18,000

Two people from Limassol, a 40 year-old man and a 34 year-old woman, are under investigation for allegedly creating fake accidents.

Police believe the two made €18,000 from their alleged crimes over a period of less than seven years.

According to the police, the duo managed to dupe the authorities and insurance companies and received the cash in connection to nine accidents between 2007 and February 2014.

The two were involved in the accidents as drivers as well as passengers and pedestrians. They face charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and providing fake testimony, amongst others.
