Police in Enfield are appealing for the public’s help in locating a man who is believed to have escaped after being abducted.
Mohammed Ali, 18, from Enfield was last seen at around 23:40hrs on Sunday, 20 March, being driven away in a car in Fore Street, N9. Mohammed was in the car after having allegedly been abducted with two other people.
Police were alerted to Mohammed’s disappearance following an abandoned phone call made to 999 on 20 March at 23:30hrs. Reacting to this call Enfield Borough officers found the two other people who had allegedly been abducted – both are safe and well – who reported when Mohammed had last been seen.
Further investigations by Enfield officers led to the arrest of two men – aged 34 and 25 – in a car outside an address in Beaconsfield Road. Both were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and are currently in custody at a north London police station.
Officers have since spoken to a man they believe to be Mohammed, on his mobile phone number, but are urging him to return home so they can confirm he is safe and unharmed. At this time, Mohammed said he was in the Essex area.
They are also appealing for anyone who has seen Mohammed or who knows of his whereabouts to contact them.
Mohammed is described as a black man, with short dark hair and a goatee linked to sideburns.
Anyone that can assist police in locating Mohammed is urged to contact officers in Enfield CID via 101.
