Famagusta District Court on Monday remanded a 31-year-old Limassol man in connection with possessing and using counterfeit money.
A bar employee in Ayia Napa reported that at about 1am, a man paid for his drinks with a fake €50 note.
When police arrived they found the accused with more fake notes and after searching his car, they found more fake notes and a plastic bag that contained half a gramme of cannabis.
Police are still investigating..
