Detectives from British Transport Police’s Sexual Offences Unit are appealing for information after a man was seen to expose and touch himself inappropriately.
The incident happened on board a Piccadilly Line train between Acton Town and South Ealing station on Saturday 1 April. A man boarded the service at approximately 6.15am and he sat near to a 45-year-old woman. During the journey he exposed and touched himself inappropriately.
Officers are now linking this with two other incidents which occurred Central Line trains last year. The first occurred on a service between Tottenham Court Road and East Acton in June, the second on a service between West Acton and Tottenham Court Road in July.
Investigating officer DC Andrew Parkinson, said: “Having viewed the CCTV from all these occurrences, we are now linking various offences together. So far we have examined multiple lines of enquiry, however we have been unable to identify a suspect.
“No one should ever be subjected to unwanted sexual behaviour and I’d like to thank these victims for reporting these offences to us. Every report builds a picture and helps us track down offenders and bring them to justice.
“We are now releasing CCTV images of a man that we believe could help us investigate. If you know who he is then I would urge you to get in touch as soon as possible. Any information, no matter how small could prove vital.”
Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch by sending a text to 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 345 of 14 June. Alternatively, pass information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
