A cracking five setter with both Marcos Baghdatis and Russian Karen Klashanov both fought hard until the end.
Karen Klashanov was two sets up 6-3 6-4 but the Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis fought back to two sets all when he won the two sets 3-6 6-7 and into the final set they went and Klashanov won the game after 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Marcos would have been pleased with his performance he looked powerful, fitter and leaner.
