The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest participant for Greece, Cypriot Maria-Elena was invited to ANT1 TV’s famous night show “Ola Beep” talking about her participation and failure in Vienna. She also discussed the shocking moment when Greece and Cyprus didn’t exchange the usual 12 points.
“It was terribly unfair… I got really upset… I was having fun but the when the voting procedure began I was in shock”. said Maria-Elena
She also expressed her shock and owe for the voting of Cyprus as the viewers ranked her first in tele voting and cannot understand how five people from a jury placed her sixth making her feeling embarrassed not expecting such a thing from her homeland Cyprus. Five people deciding this horrific result is unfair, she concluded.
When it comes to the other countries she said that she didn’t expect high points but she was also surprised she didn’t get any points from most of them blaming ORF for deciding her order of appearance after the commercial break therefore people didn’t saw her performance.
