† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT – FUNERAL
Maria Markou

It is with great sadness that we announce the passingof our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Maria Markou who died on the 3rd September 2026 at the age of 97.
She leaves behind her daughters Emelia, Georgia and Androulla, son-in-laws George and Augoustis, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will take place at 12pm, on Thursday 24th September 2026, at The Greek Orthodox Church of St. Demetrius, Edmonton, Town Road / Logan Road, London N9 0LP and the burial will follow at Edmonton Cemetery, Church Street, N9 9HP at 2pm. A donation box will be available, proceeds will go to the Royal National Institute of Blind People. The wake will take place after the burial at Maria’s home.

Με μεγάλη θλίψη ανακοινώνουμε τον θάνατο της αγαπημένης μας μητέρας, γιαγιάς και προγιαγιάς Μαρίας Μάρκου, η οποία απεβίωσε στις 3 Σεπτεμβρίου 2026 σε ηλικία 97 ετών.
Καταλείπει τις κόρες της Εμίλια, Γεωργία και Ανδρούλλα, τους γαμπρούς της Γιώργο και Αυγουστή, εννέα εγγόνια και οκτώ δισέγγονα.
Η κηδεία της θα γίνει στις 12μμ, την Πέμπτη 24 Σεπτεμβρίου 2026, από τον ιερό ναό του Αγίου Δημητρίου, στο Έντμοντον, Town Road / Logan Road, N9 0LP και θα ακολουθήσει η ταφή στο Κοιμητήριο του Έντμοντον, Church Street, N9 9HP στις 2μμ. Θα υπάρχει διαθέσιμο κουτί εισφορών και τα έσοδα θα διατεθούν στο Royal National Institute of Blind People.
Η παρηγοριά θα δοθεί μετά την ταφή στο σπίτι της Μαρίας.
