On this day in 1974 Turkey invaded Cyprus. Turkey continues to illegally occupy 37% of the island despite condemnation from the United Nations and international community. Turkey has committed serious human rights and international law violations in Cyprus.
It’s time for a free, united Cyprus that is truly sovereign and independent, and ensures prosperity for all Cypriots.
