Ergun Olgun has been named as the new Cyprus Problem negotiator for the Turkish Cypriot side, according to reports on Friday.
Olgun is the former “Undersecretary” of the occupation regime’s “presidency” and Coordinator of the Turkish Cypriot Technical Committees which negotiated the 2004 United Nations Comprehensive Settlement Plan for Cyprus. He was more recently the Coordinator of the Presidential Consultative Council for the Negotiating Process and External Relations Coordinator of the Besparmak Think Tank Group.
Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu earlier this week removed Kudret Ozersay from the negotiator position.
