A Romanian man was taken into custody Sunday night accused of chasing an Asian woman armed with an axe. The incident took place in Athena Avenue, Strovolos at around 7.15pm.
The man was disarmed and taken to Strovolos police station.
He claimed to have been robbed of €1,000.
Two people were then arrested at the man’s address. Both were held for questioning while the man was released.
