Armed robbery took place today Monday morning in a branch of Bank of Cyprus at Archbishop Makarios Avenue in Lakatamia. Two masked men entered the branch and the threat of using a hunting gun and managed to rob the bank five thousand euros. The robbers then fled in a stolen car that was found a short distance from the bank. It seems there was another car waiting for them to escape in.
The Police found a found a forged 50 euro note and a green hat. A helicopter was used in the police chase the Police are continuing their investigation.
