Panos Kalidis was born in Drama, northeastern Greece, where he lived until the age of 20 when he started to make his first major steps in the Greek music scene.
He was familiar with traditional Greek music, having grown up playing the Pontic Lyra, later moving towards the laiko genre.
He started out appearing in night clubs in Thessaloniki before performing on Athens stages, aged 26. In fact, he was the main artist at the club Caramela in the centre of the Greek capital, pack-ing it out night after night for over three years, with students who came to listen to hits such as Pas Na Me Trelaneis and Ah Monaxia Mou.
His career continued to go from strength to strength after he struck up a strong collaboration with renowned songwriter Foivos and went on to appear at some of the best clubs in Athens and Thes-saloniki, as well as touring the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany and the UK.
He has collaborated with many renowned Greek artists including Nikos Vertis, Nikos Kourkoulis, Despina Vandi, Nikos Makropou-los, Konstantinos Argiros, Lefteris Pantazis, and others.
Throughout his career he has worked with record labels such as Sony Music, Minos EMI, Spicy and Siganos Music, while he is currently signed to Heaven Music.
Hits include Asto Pano Mou, Kou Bebe, Pas Na Me Trelaneis, Eho Giorti, Treli Idea, his latest track Ta Katafera, and many more.
Panos has also appeared on Greek reality TV shows including Survivor Greece and was last year invited to Survivor All Star (Greece).
