Peter Andre has taken time out of his busy schedule to turn on the lights at Manchester’s Trafford Centre.
The singer, who is currently taking part in BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing, kept the 7,000-strong crowd happy as he switched on the festive display at the shopping centre.
He said: “Christmas is all about family. We have lots of food, lots of food and if that’s not enough, we have lots of food. It’s all about food at Christmas and the odd pressie.
“I’d like a hot cup of chocolate made for me while I’m in my PJs and my slippers, sitting back relaxing. It’s not going to happen!”
Peter, who is married to doctor Emily MacDonagh, said he feels very “grateful” for his life.
“I’m so lucky – I’ve got all the things that I could want and I’m thankful. Strictly’s going really good so far,” he revealed.
Talking about his scores from the judges, he said: “We’ve had 7s and 8s so I can’t complain. It means there’s room to grow but there’s also room to fall so let’s hope I go up and not down. It’s great fun and a great experience.”
He added: “I’ve released my album and that’s gone to the top five. That’s just been brilliant. And then I’ve got the tour next year so I can’t complain.”
