Police appeal after Enfield burglaries

Police in Enfield borough are appealing for the public’s help after two linked burglaries which occurred within an hour of each other.

Both crimes took place on Friday, 4 March between 13:50hrs and 14:20hrs, at addresses in EN1 – one in Canonbury Road and one in Biknoller Road.

In both burglaries the suspects are believed to have used a blue Audi Q5 car which was parked in Canonbury Road, near Baker Street.

This vehicle was last seen making off from police through Southgate onto the High Street where it was lost.

The car was believed to be on false plates with the first two letters of the registration plate were ‘KU’. It had a ‘GB’ sticker and roof rails on it.

Police believe four men are involved in the burglaries. They have been described as of white and Mediterranean appearance. Three of the men are described as aged in their late teens or early 20s, while the fourth was described as aged around 30.

One suspect was described as taller than the others and of thin build.

Detective Constable Ryan Clark of Enfield police said:”I would like to both appeal for witnesses and warn local residents.

“If anyone saw this car parked, or after it had made off from the scene, I would ask them to contact police. A number of people may have walked by this car or seen the men getting into it – your information could be vital.

“I would also ask residents to look out for this car, and the men driving it – for an immediate sighting call 999.”

Anyone with information about the burglaries should contact Enfield police on 101. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
