Cyprus police issued 57 fines on individuals for violating measures against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours.
A police spokesperson told CNA that in the last 24 hours, the Police carried out 5,675 checks.
In Nicosia, the Police carried out 1,656 checks reporting 8 individuals, in Limassol 23 individuals were fined after 1,768 checks and in Laranca 7 individuals were fined following 708 checks.
In Pafos, 808 checks were carried out with 9 individuals fined, in Famagusta the Police carried out 549 checks reporting 8 individuals whereas in Morphou after 186 checks 2 individuals were fined.
Port Police also carried out 37 checks with no violations reported.
