Former Minister Praxoula Antoniades has thrown her hat into the ring for February’s presidential elections.
The United Democrats made the announcement at a press conference.
Party Vice President Costas Georgiades said the decision was made by the organisation’s central committee with 92% in favour.
Antoniades said she made her decision after intense reflection, and extensive discussion with a sense of responsibility to the citizens of the country, in these critical and extremely difficult times.
