President of the Republic Nicos Anastsiades accepted the resignation submitted by Minister of Health Philippos Patsalis.
As the Presidency announced on Saturday, Health Minister submitted his resignation to President Anastasiades on Friday invoking personal reasons.
As noted by the Presidency, President Anastasiades, accepted the Minister`s resignation and asked him to stay in office for a few more days.
In his resignation letter, Patsalis notes inter alia that he feels very proud as during his service it was possible through social dialogue to develop the bills for autonomy of public hospitals and implementation of General Health System, and to arrive one step before submitting them to the Parliament.
He also indicates that implementation of these measures is more than necessary and wishes that this time any problems or interests will not impede upon implementing these measures.
