Queenswell Greek School celebrated the National Anniversaries of Greece and Cyprus with special guest Mr Costas Kadis, the Cyprus Minister of Education. Queenswell was honoured to be selected as one of the Greek schools he is visiting whilst in the UK.
The children performed short sketches and songs and the nursery and reception classes paraded with Greek and Cypriot flags.
Mr Kadis took a few moments to congratulate kiria Stella for her outstanding work at Queenswell Greek School. He expressed how professionally the children performed and was very impressed.
Greek Independence Day (25 March) and the National Anniversary of 1st April are very important holidays in Greece and Cyprus and the teachers and children prepared an excellent concert.
