Storm ‘Elena’ continues to affect Cyprus on Friday and Saturday, while the Meteo Service has said that a new one will likely affect the island on Sunday.
Troodos mountains saw some snow the past hours that reached 16 centimeters on highest peaks.
On Friday the Meteo Service forecasted that the weather will be mainly cloudy with rain locally and isolated storms, while snowfall and hail in the mountains are expected.
The temperature will rise to around 15 degrees Celsius inland, around 16 on the coast and around 5 degrees in the higher mountains.
In the evening, the temperature will drop to around 6 degrees inland, around 9 on the coast and around minus one degree in the higher mountains.
The Meteo Service said that the temperature will increase slightly on Saturday but will drop again.
