A 21 year old Cypriot man is to appear before a Larnaca magistrate today Wednesday after he was reported by the FBI to the authorities on the island on suspicion of trafficking child pornography.
According to police in Cyprus, investigators on the island had received word from EUROPOL on May 27 this year that an FBI operation had ended with a group of suspects believed to have been in possession of pornographic material containing explicit material of minors.
The FBI had been tracking a website that was being used exclusively by paedophiles and in which they were sharing images and videos of children.
Larnaca Police raided his home and discovered a laptop which contained a large archive of images and videos of child pornography.
