Sheffield Wednesday player Fernando Forestieri has a Cypriot connection in the fact that he is married to a UK Cypriot Andria whose grandparents are from Cyprus her parents Vange and Des are in the UK.
Andria’s father Vange is well known in the community as the owner of Abraxas Insurance and was palyer in the KOPA League with Dynamo, PAOK and Carerra. He is also an active member of the Cypriot Golf Society.
Fernando Forestieri is born in Argentina and of Italian descent and started at Boca Juniors and then Udinese, Watford and now Sheffield Wednesday.
He has been injured for several weeks and came back for this game as a sub with 25 minutes to go.
