George Kyriacou, 28, from the village of Pachna was tragically killed on Friday afternoon when he was crushed by a digger while working at a quarry in Anoyira.
According to head of Limassol crime unit Ioannis Soteriades, the 28-year-old was found by his colleagues at around 1.30pm. He was transferred to Limassol General Hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
Police, a medical examiner and officers from the Labour Inspection Office arrived at the scene to investigate the conditions of the accident.
According to Soteriades, the 28-year-old was father to an underage child and his wife is expecting their second child in a few months
