Two Newham boys, aged 16 and 17, will appear before Bexley Magistrates’ Court on Friday 11 May charged in connection to a hate crime on the Jubilee Line at North Greenwich station in which a man was subjected to homophobic abuse.
The incident happened at approximately 11pm on 21 October last year. The 17-year-old has been charged with a public order offence, the 16-year-old has been charged with assault by beating.
The charges were issued via Postal Requisition.
