A UK Cypriot married couple Kyriacos and Theognosia Demetriou died within a week of each other last week.
Kyriacos born in Engomi, Cyprus 1927 sadly passed away in his sleep on the 21st of August 2015 aged 87. Theognosia born in Ardana, Cyprus 19th February 1925 also passed away peacefully in her sleep on 27th August 2015 at Ash Court Nursing home aged 90.
They both came to England the same year in 1953 and married in 1954. Kyriacos worked as a tailor and his wife Theognosia a seamstress. They first lived in Hammersmith, then moved to Hornsey before settling down in Kentish Town.
They both leave their loving daughter Helen, son Chris, daughter in law Georgina and grandchildren Andria, Koulla, Nick, Kerry and Ellie.
Kyriacos and Theognosia’s funeral will take place on Tuesday 15th September 2015 at St Demetrios Church, Town Road/Logan Road London N9 0LP at 11am followed by the burial at Enfield Crematorium and Cemetery, Great Cambridge Road, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 4DS.
