Unbeaten “Saints”
go two steps up on the League Table
St. Panteleimon were once again on their travels to face JL Rovers in a crucial Middlesex County League fixture.
The unbeaten Saints, knowing only 3 points will do, started the game strongly dominating possession and dictating the tempo of the game. This continued through the first half as chance after chance somehow failed to be converted. Thus, the first half ended 0-0.
The second half saw the Saints raise their game still further. Surely it was a matter of time and on 60 minutes this proved the case when a well worked move saw Igli Sevaj played through who opened the score with a superb finish. This saw the Saints find an unstoppable tempo and the impressive Ayub Albadri, introduced in the second half, scored twice and assisted in two further goals.
The lively Nikos Salapatas also fired home following another superb move on the left and he assisted in two other goals. Another introduction in the second half, Ibadat Mohammadi, fired home the goal of the game with his first touch. Man of the match performances from the Molloy brothers and Ayub Albadri.
Final score 0-5 to the Saints.
