MAKIS SYMEOU
From Limnia (Famagusta) DOB 22/05/1934
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved partner, father and pappou who passed away on the 24th December 2020 at the age of 86. Makis who came to England from Limnia, Cyprus in 1954 leaves a gap that his family will never be able to fill. He had a life touched by sadness when his wife, Natasa, died at the age of 45 in 1989 but in later years, he filled it with happiness, enjoying watching his six grandchildren who he was immensely proud of growing up. He enjoyed nothing more than when his children and grandchildren all got together for a big barbeque.
Makis leaves behind his partner Lynne, daughter Caroline, sons Pany and Andy, son-in-law Robert,
daughters-in-law Tatiana and Zoe and his grandchildren Natasha, Michael, Nicolas, Stefan, Natalya, Savannah and his step grandchildren Sebastian, Raphael and Fabien.
“A thousand words can’t bring you back, we know because we’ve tried, And neither would a million tears, we know because we’ve cried.”
His funeral will take place on Wednesday 20th January, 2021, at St Andrew’s, Kentish Town. Due to current COVID restrictions, attendance will be by invitation only. Family and friends who wish to be present but cannot due to current restrictions can watch the service via Zoom.
